Motherhood changes you.
It doesn’t have to make you smaller.

A private practice for ambitious women navigating motherhood, identity, career and the return to work.

Hypnotherapy informed by Eastern and Western philosophy.

Jin Chen — Hypnotherapist & Executive Advisor

You can be grateful — and still feel changed.

Motherhood can bring enormous love and meaning.

It can also quietly unsettle the way you see yourself.

You may find yourself asking:

Who am I now?

Do I still want the career I worked so hard for?

Can I be ambitious and still be the mother I want to be?

Why do I feel guilty when I work — and restless when I don’t?

Why can I manage complex situations professionally, yet feel overwhelmed by things that seem so small?

How do I return to work without simply returning to my old life?

These are not simply work-life balance questions.

They are questions of identity, responsibility and what you want the next chapter of your life to look like.

This is not simply a work-life balance problem.

High-performing women are usually very good at solving problems.

They think.

Plan.

Research.

Organise.

Optimise.

And try harder.

But some transitions cannot be solved by becoming even more efficient.

Sometimes the deeper work is about examining the expectations and patterns underneath the way you live.

The belief that you should cope.

That good mothers always put themselves last.

That ambitious women should never lose momentum.

That asking for help means you are not managing.

That everything must be done well — simultaneously.

You may understand intellectually that these expectations are impossible.

And still find them surprisingly difficult to let go of.

That is where deeper work can begin.

Three ways to work together

Private Session
One defined issue.
For a specific pattern, decision or emotional obstacle.

You do not need to be a mother to book a Private Session.

Motherhood & Career Reset
Your motherhood and professional life are changing together.
Focused support for identity, ambition, guilt, confidence and the return to work.

Executive Motherhood
Motherhood alongside significant professional responsibility.
For senior professionals and leaders rethinking leadership, ambition and sustainable performance.

I understand both sides of the equation.

I'm a partner at an international consulting firm and mother of four amazing kids. I know what it means to operate at a high level while managing a full life at home.

I have spent much of my professional life in environments built around ambition, responsibility and high expectations.

Those two worlds are not theoretical to me.

I understand demanding professional environments from the inside. And I understand that becoming a mother can fundamentally change the way you think about work, ambition, responsibility and yourself.

The Inner Edge exists in the space where those worlds meet.

My role is not to tell you how many days you should work, whether you should pursue the promotion or what being a “good mother” looks like.

It is to help you become clearer about what genuinely matters to you — and work with the patterns that can make acting on that clarity unnecessarily difficult.

I trained with OMNI Hypnosis and combined that with my background in executive advisory to create a practice that takes both worlds seriously — the professional and the personal, the cognitive and the subconscious.

Sessions are in Dutch or English, fully confidential, and available during the weekends in Weesp — just outside Amsterdam.

Ready to find out if this is right for you?

The Inner Edge is designed around depth rather than volume. I work with a limited number of clients so that each engagement can remain personal, focused and unhurried.

If the work described here feels relevant to where you are now, you are welcome to apply.

Motherhood is not the end of ambition.

And ambition does not have to come at the expense of motherhood.

You may want meaningful work.

You may want influence, intellectual challenge and financial independence.

You may also want to be there for ordinary Tuesday evenings.

You may want to lead.

And still want space.

The goal is not to “have it all”.

The more useful question is:

What kind of woman, mother and professional do you want to become now?
