What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a method to change automatic mental and behavioural patterns that are not accessible through rational analysis alone.

Most professionals operate on deeply ingrained automatic patterns — in how they react to pressure, make decisions, or manage uncertainty.
Hypnotherapy allows us to work directly with those patterns, rather than only discussing them cognitively.

Think of it as working on the operating system rather than the applications.
Traditional coaching often works at the level of strategies and behaviours.
Hypnotherapy works at the level where those behaviours are automatically generated.

Hypnotherapy is particularly effective for high performers because it helps quiet the feeling that your brain won't switch off, reducing unconscious stress responses and improving clarity.

Why I do this work

I'm a partner at an international consulting firm. I know what it means to operate at a high level while managing a full life at home.

For years I worked with the tools most high performers rely on — strategy, discipline, willpower. They work, up to a point. But I kept noticing — in myself and in the people around me — that the patterns causing the most damage weren't accessible through thinking alone.

Stress responses that kicked in automatically. Perfectionism that no amount of reframing could touch. The guilt of being a working parent that logic couldn't resolve.

That's what led me to hypnotherapy. Not as a last resort — but as the most direct route to the layer where those patterns actually live.

I trained with OMNI Hypnosis and combined that with my background in executive advisory to create a practice that takes both worlds seriously — the professional and the personal, the cognitive and the subconscious.

Sessions are in Dutch or English, fully confidential, and available during the weekends in Weesp — just outside Amsterdam.
